UP NEET UG Counselling is the process for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in Uttar Pradesh. It is conducted by the Directorate General of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh (DGME UP). Students who have qualified NEET UG 2026 can apply for UP state counselling. Counselling will commence from 8 August 2026 (Tentatively), as NEET result has been declared. The process includes registration, document verification, choice filling, seat allotment, and reporting to the college. It is held in multiple rounds, like Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up, and Stray Vacancy Round.
To participate in UP NEET UG Counselling 2026, the candidates must meet certain criteria:
Qualify NEET UG 2026: Secure the minimum qualifying percentile in the NEET UG 2026 examination.
Domicile Requirement: For 85% state quota seats, candidates must be domiciled in Uttar Pradesh. Those who have completed both Class 10 and 12 from UP schools are exempted from submitting a domicile certificate.
Educational Qualification: Must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as subjects.
Age Limit: Must be at least 17 years old by December 31, 2026. There is no upper age limit.

Security Deposit: For government medical colleges, the security deposit is ₹30,000. If a student chooses a private medical college, the fee is ₹2,00,000. For private dental colleges, the counselling fee is ₹1,00,000.
