For the final round of stray counselling for NEET PG 2025, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released 2,980 clean vacancies. This is encouraging for the countless number of people who are still looking for post-graduation (MD, MS and DNB) seats within the medical colleges and will allow them to participate in the upcoming choice filling and locking period of this process, with the anticipated final seat allotment result to be released on February 21st 2026, following the cut-offs were reduced making approximately 95,913 other candidates eligible to participate in this counseling cycle.
In releasing clear vacancies, MCC provides transparency in NEET PG counselling process as students now know how many seats are available to them. The previous rounds of counselling left many applicants unsure about exactly how many seats would be available. Almost one lakh candidates are eligible for counselling this time, and it continues to be extremely competitive.
It is critical that applicants use their best judgment in choosing their preferences when filling & locking their choices. As this is the last stray round, there will be NO further opportunities beyond 21 February. Therefore candidates need to monitor the official MCC website (mcc.nic.in) for ongoing updates so they do not miss any deadlines.
Education specialists advise that establishing lower cut-off percentiles has expanded student access for those who would otherwise have been excluded from continuing on to the next level of education. However, there will be limited seats available for eligible students. So finding a seat will depend upon making clever and timely choices when selecting the program options.
The counselling process for NEET PG 2025 is now at the final stage. This is the last opportunity for candidates interested in seeking to gain admission into Post-Graduate Medical Programmes. MCC will conduct the seat allocation by February 21, 2026. Candidates should therefore take immediate action and keep checking any official announcements.
