The Tbilisi State Medical University(TSMU) is the leading medical university in Tbilisi, Georgia, and the largest medical university in Georgia and Eastern Europe. Founded in 1918, the university recently celebrated its 100th anniversary. It was founded as Tbilisi Medical Institute and in 1930 became Tbilisi State University’s faculty of medicine. The college has produced many doctors and has been recognized / listed by the World Health Organization, the International Medical Graduates ‘ Education Commission, the European Education Commission, and the World Medical Education Federation. It ensures that after passing a licensing / screening test, students can work in any country.
Approximately one quarter of students are international and come from more than 65 countries around the world. Many of the classes are taught in English and the university follows the European Union syllabus to make it easier for students to pass. The university holds a cultural conference every year for international students to socialize and highlight their talents. The University combines teaching, research, medical and pharmaceutical activities in all classes and lectures. This is a complete six-year medical course in English Medium. The degree is called MD-Doctor of Medicine / Medical Doctor, which is similar to Indian MBBS. This program has been offered at our university for the past 99 years. Since 2003, Indian students have started to enter and over 1,200 Indians are now studying. This course is controlled directly by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education of GEORGIA.

TSMU offers the six-year American MD system. The program’s length is 360 ECTS points.
The graduates will apply for job opportunities in the United States after graduating from the American MD program and passing the American medical licensing exams.

Application for Indian students to be admitted to MBBS at Tbilisi State Medical University is not that resistant. One must apply online at the Tbilisi State Medical University for admission to the MBBS. Students must fill out their application forms online with their scanned documents (disclosed above) that are available on the Tbilisi State Medical University’s official website before the deadline for the request for admission process.
After all the necessary documents have been submitted, University will take up to seven days to confirm and then issue a letter of admission to the students. After receiving the letter of admission, students have to submit their original passport and original documents to the university and have to wait up to 45 days for the Ministry’s approval. Students must pay university fees after receiving the consent.
